Airports in Croatia

If you fly to Croatia with Croatia Airlines you will land on an airport in one of these five cities: Zagreb, Pula, Zadar, Split or Dubrovnik. We provide basic information about these Croatian airports.

Zagreb airport

Zagreb airport is situated 12 km from Zagreb city centre. It is the main international airport in Croatia, with about 2.5 million passengers per year. Formerly it was known as Pleso airport, but earlier this year, its name was changed to “Franjo Tuđman” airport.
Zagreb airport has one active terminal and one under construction, which should be completed by the end of April 2017. Zagreb city centre is accessible by bus shuttle, taxi or rent a car. Average price for the taxi is about 0.80 € per 1 km. While you are waiting for the bus or taxi you can go to a restaurant or a bar at the airport or buy something in one of the shops there.

Pula airport

Pula airport is an international airport, located about 6 km from the city centre of Pula. You can get to Pula city centre from the airport by shuttle bus, taxi or rent a car. Shuttle bus also goes to Umag, Rovinj, Porec, Fazana, Rabac, Novigrad and Medulin. While you are waiting for the taxi or bus you can have a snack and a coffee in a cafe or buy some goods in Duty free shop at the airport.

Zadar airport

Zadar airport is located about 8 km from the city centre of Zadar, in Zemunik Donji. It is an international airport with a huge parking lot – even 577 parking spaces.
You can get to Zadar city centre from the airport by taxi, bus or rent a car. One-way bus ticket price is approximately 3 €. While you are waiting for the bus or taxi, you can eat something at the restaurant, have a coffee in a coffee bar, and buy some gifts or other goods in a gift shop and Duty free shop at the airport.

Split airport

Also known as Resnik Airport, it is located 24 km from Split, in the town of Kaštela. Split city centre is accessible by taxi, bus or rent a car. One-way bus ticket price is approximately 4 €. While you are waiting for the bus or taxi you can buy a newspaper and go to a café, order some meal in a restaurant or buy some goods in one of the shops for fair prices. There is also an Internet corner, Bank and Business lounge.

Dubrovnik airport

Also known as Čilipi airport, it is located approximately 16 km from Dubrovnik city centre. Dubrovnik city centre is accessible from Čilipi airport by bus (Atlas travel agency or public bus transportation), taxi or rent a car. One-way bus ticket price is approximately 4 €. While you are waiting for the bus or taxi you can order some meal in the restaurant, go to a café, or buy some goods in Souvenir shop, Antares shop or Duty free shop.
