Croatia Airlines' Millionth Passenger in 2015

Croatia Airlines, the Croatian flag carrier and Star Alliance member, today, recorded its millionth passenger this year. This year's jubilee passenger, Maro Popović, was on international flight OU471 from Amsterdam to Zagreb.
At the ceremony, which was held after the landing of Croatia Airlines' aircraft at the Zagreb Airport at 1:15 p.m., the Sales and Marketing Director of Croatia Airlines, Ivan Družeta, awarded the millionth passenger with two free economy class return tickets to any of Croatia Airlines' international destinations of the winner’s choice. The jubilee passenger was also awarded with a premium service prize for two people on the departure and arrival flights by the Zagreb Airport, which was handed out by Ivana Akmadžić, Executive Director of Zagreb Airport Ground Services.
This year's millionth passenger on a Croatia Airlines flight was recorded a day earlier than last year.
Four percent more passengers were recorded at the end of July compared to this time last year; it is expected that the total number of Croatia Airlines passengers in the course of 2015 will be about 1 percent higher than in the period, January – July, 2014.
By the end of 2015, the Croatian flag carrierr will have transported approximately 1,880,000 passengers, about 2-3 percent more than last year.
This season, Croatia Airlines aircraft directly link the Republic of Croatia to 30 European destinations in 18 countries, as well as to Croatia's capital, Zagreb, via six airports (Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Pula, Osijek, and Bol on the Island of Brač).
Since the first flight in 1991 until today, Croatia Airlines aircraft has transported a total of 30,800,000 passengers, of which more than 21,200,000 were international passengers and about 9,600,000 domestic.
The Croatia Airlines fleet consists of twelve aircraft: four Airbus 319 (capacity 144 seats), two Airbus 320 (capacity 174 seats) and six turboprop Dash 8-Q400 (capacity 76 seats).
