Croatia Airlines expands its network of European destinations

Croatia Airlines announced the expansion of its network of flights with four attractive destinations. The city of Zagreb will soon be directly connected to Lisbon, Milan, Prague and St. Petersburg. Thus, passengers will be offered even better travel options to and from Croatia, and the company will strengthen its market position.

Starting on May 20, for the first time in the company's history, Croatia Airlines will directly connect Zagreb to Lisbon, three times a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. 

On the same day, May 20, direct international flights will be introduced on the Zagreb - Milan route, scheduled for Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. 

Starting on May 21, Croatia Airlines will have direct flights between Zagreb and Prague.  Croatia Airlines will have direct flights between the Croatian and the Czech capital four times a week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. 

Croatia Airlines has also introduced direct international flights between Zagreb and St Petersburg, again for the first time in the company's history. Flights on this route are set to start on June 2 - on Thursdays and Sundays. 

Flights to the above destinations will also be available to passengers from Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Pula and Osijek, via Zagreb.

During this year's season, in regular international traffic, Croatia Airlines will directly connect Croatia to 35 destinations in 20 European countries and, in cooperation with Star Alliance partners, with the entire world. Thus, Croatia Airlines will contribute even more to the development of tourism and Croatian economic growth, and further strengthen its position as regional leader.

This year, it is expected that the company's aircraft will transport around 1,970,000 passengers, i.e. about 6.5 percent more than in 2015 (1,849,000 passengers). It is worth remembering that, on an annual basis, about one-thirds of all tourists flying to Croatia use Croatia Airlines' services, and the Croatian flag carrier connects Croatia to the world throughout the year.
