Zagreb, 20 May 2016
Today, Zagreb International Airport held a ceremony to mark the introduction of Croatia Airlines' new direct flight - a regular Zagreb - Milan route.
The ceremony was attended by Boris Kolka, Sales and Marketing Director of Croatia Airlines, and Isabelle Dubois, Director of Commercial Affairs and Marketing at Zagreb International Airport.
Until the end of October this year, Croatia Airlines will be directly connecting Zagreb and Milan three times a week - on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
We are glad that, with the introduction of direct flights to Milan, we are able to offer even better travel options to and from Croatia. I believe that our passengers will recognize the potential of this route, which will contribute to the passenger traffic growth of Croatia Airlines and Zagreb International Airport - said Boris Kolka, Director of Sales and Marketing of Croatia Airlines.
On behalf of Zagreb International Airport, I would like to congratulate Croatia Airlines for the opening of new routes and for increasing the network of destinations. We believe that the introduction of new routes to Milan, as well as to Lisbon, Prague and St. Petersburg will directly contribute to the continuing growth in the number of passengers, which has been continuously recorded by the Airport - said Isabelle Dubois, Director of Commercial Affairs and Marketing of the Zagreb International Airport.
In addition to Milan, this year's Croatia Airlines' summer timetable brings about direct international flights from Zagreb to Prague, Lisbon and St. Petersburg. Thus, this season the aircraft of the Croatian flag carrier will be linking Croatia to 35 destinations in 20 European countries and, in cooperation with its partners at Star Alliance, with the entire world.
