Croatia Airlines and Carwiz International continuing their successful collaboration
Successful Croatian companies joining forces to create a great tourism product of better quality
28th April 2023, Zagreb - Croatia Airlines, Croatia’s flag carrier, and Carwiz International, Croatia’s fastest growing franchised car rental company, today signed a Business Collaboration Expansion Agreement called FLY&DRIVE in the cockpit of an Airbus aircraft outside Croatia Airlines’ Technical Centre’s hangar at Zagreb Airport.
To mark the occasion, five branded Suzuki Swift vehicles were parked next to the Airbus, which Carwiz International will make available to Croatia Airlines’ operations services at Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik airports within the framework of the FLY&DRIVE project.
FLY&DRIVE is a joint product of Croatia Airlines and Carwiz International, which offers those who use the services of both companies a 15% discount on both airline tickets and car rental services upon presentation of a specially created code. The service is currently available on the markets of Italy, Greece, the Czech Republic, Romania, North Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and will soon be available on the Austrian market as well.
The FLY&DRIVE project was launched in the middle of last year, and in just a few months since launch resulted in a significant increase in bookings, particularly by guests coming from foreign markets, most of whom from markets that have traditionally been inclined to spend their holidays in Croatia (Germany, Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, etc.), as well as those from more distant markets, such as Scandinavia, and Great Britain. Specifically, these two Croatian companies have worked together on the development of an export tourism product in accordance with the most current trends on the market, while meeting passenger needs with the introduction of innovations and additional services, and ultimately contributing to the growth of Croatia’s economy as a whole.
During the signing of the agreement, Slaven Žabo, Commercial Division Director at Croatia Airlines, highlighted the following:
– By expanding our business collaboration with Carwiz International, we are, in fact, expanding our successful Fly&Drive joint project, which resulted in the creation of a recognisable tourism product and the generation of additional market demand by using the effects of our synergism. Targeted advertising is a key step in making sure that our product is as available and as recognised as possible. With this agreement, we’re looking to strengthen this important segment of our strategic partnership, while making sure that our operations services at Croatia’s three most frequented airports are as mobile as possible. In other words, Croatia Airlines, Croatia’s flag carrier, is continuing to confirm its strategic importance, including the role it plays in the development of Croatia’s tourism product and economy as a whole.
Within the framework of the FLY&DRIVE project, Carwiz International will make five branded Suzuki Swift vehicles available to Croatia Airlines’ operations services at Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik airports.
Krešimir Dobrilović, CEO of Carwiz International, is very happy to be continuing this collaboration:
– In looking to provide our mutual clients with the best possible travel experience while creating new and lasting memories, we’re very pleased to be continuing and expanding our collaboration with our strategic partner, Croatia Airlines. These are the most fundamental watchwords that guide the business operations of Carwiz International. What we do is listen out for the needs of the market and then respond appropriately, not only on the domestic market, but also on all the 30 or so markets around the world that Carwiz International operates on. I am of the opinion that this type of collaboration has resulted in the creation of a unique Croatian tourism product of high quality, which will strengthen the positioning of all the involved stakeholders on the demanding markets of Europe and the world – said Krešimir.
