Croatia Airlines marks International Women’s Day together with its passengers and employees
Almost 50 percent of employees working for Croatia’s flag carrier are women
8th March 2022, Zagreb – To mark International Women’s Day, today Croatia’s flag carrier, Croatia Airlines, wished a happy International Women’s Day to all passengers on its scheduled international flight (OU461) from Zurich to Zagreb, and brightened their day with a special discount voucher.
During the flight, all women passengers were gifted a special 30% discount voucher (redeemable against their next purchase of Croatia Airlines air tickets). After landing at Zagreb Airport, they were greeted by Slaven Žabo, Commercial Division Director at Croatia Airlines, and Davor Mišić, Operations Director at Croatia Airlines, who gifted them with roses.
Today’s flight from Zurich to Zagreb was extra special because its entire crew consisted of women – it was captained by pilot Kristina Mlinarić, co-piloted by pilot Slavka Mustapić, its purser was Aleksandra Perković, and cabin crew member Danijela Dimić. Affirming the importance of women in society in this way as well, the company gifted them too with roses, given as a small token of appreciation, and gratitude for their perseverance, and dedication to their work.
Women make up almost half of Croatia Airlines’ employees; 48 percent, to be precise. The company continuously follows labour market trends, and has been increasingly giving preference to women when recruiting new employees.
