Croatia Airlines to increase number of flights and seat availability in the 2025 tourist season
5 November 2024, London
Croatia Airlines is showcasing its offerings at the World Travel Market, WTM, in London (5 – 7 November) at the Croatian National Tourist Board’s stand.
In the 2025 summer flight timetable (25 March – 25 October), Croatia Airlines is planning to operate flights to all the 28 international destinations that it directly connected Croatia with during this year’s tourist season. Flights on certain seasonal routes are set to begin as early as late March next year and will continue through the end of October 2025, reinforcing the carrier’s commitment to extending Croatia’s tourist season.
The airline is also planning to expand its international network of flights and gradually increase the number of flights it operates throughout the summer, aligned with the anticipated delivery of new Airbus A220 aircraft. It is worth recalling that the company introduced its first A220 aircraft into the fleet in July of this year, marking the beginning of the complete renewal of its fleet by 2027 – the biggest project in the company’s 35-year history. The second A220 is expected by the end of the year, with three more scheduled for delivery by the peak of the next tourist season, enabling further growth in the number of flights that Croatia Airlines offers and seat availability.
Accordingly, Croatia Airlines is planning to operate a total of 73 routes (eight more than this year), with a 12% increase in the number of flights and a 14% increase in operational hours at peak season, compared to this year. Passengers will have over 108,000 seats available weekly, representing a significant 57% increase. The execution of the plan is contingent upon slot allocations and the new aircraft delivery timeline.
A fresh visual identity accompanies this new chapter of Croatia Airlines. With a redesigned logo, and a new interior and exterior aircraft design, the company remains consistent with its recognisable identity, and looks to the future while underscoring its key company messages: quality, safety, reliability, technical excellence/precision, travel comfort, and hospitality. Likewise, the design of the logomark is now brought closer to the design of the tail of the aircraft, which is what makes Croatia Airlines recognisable.
– I am thrilled that our flag carrier is planning to continue servicing 28 international destinations next year, with a notable increase in flight frequency and seat availability. Air connectivity is vital to Croatia’s tourism, especially when connecting Croatia with key European markets outside the peak months of summer, or in the pre- and post-season, in which there is room for traffic growth. Effective air connectivity is essential for positioning Croatia as a sustainable, accessible, and attractive year-round destination – said Kristjan Staničić, CEO at the Croatian National Tourist Board, adding that great many collaborative initiatives are planned for next year, such as continuing to showcase the authentic culinary offerings of Croatia’s regions aboard Croatia Airlines flights.
