Croatia Airlines to showcase Airbus A220 at Istanbul Airshow 2024
27 September 2024, Istanbul
Croatia Airlines has teamed up with global aircraft manufacturer Airbus to showcase the A220 during the Istanbul Airshow 2024, held at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport from 26 to 28 September.
At the 14th edition of the Istanbul Airshow, Croatia’s flag carrier is presenting its first new Airbus A220-300 aircraft, which was ceremonially welcomed in Zagreb at the end of July, and entered regular service in early August this year. This marked the beginning of the company’s biggest project to date – the complete renewal of its fleet, which will include a total of 15 new Airbus A220 aircraft by 2027.
In addition to showcasing its first new Airbus A220, the company’s representatives will share their experiences of using the aircraft in their regular operations during the Istanbul Airshow.
It is worth recalling that Croatia Airlines’ first new Airbus A220 has a seating capacity of 149 passengers, carries the registration 9A-CAE, and is named Zagreb. The Airbus A220 is a new generation aircraft offering the best performance in terms of efficiency and noise emission in its class. It features an innovative cabin design for superior passenger comfort. More specifically, it has the widest seats and the highest ceiling in its class, a wider aisle, more leg room, more overhead stowage space, and large panoramic windows for more natural light into the cabin.
Croatia Airlines' Airbus A220-300 also features a refreshed visual identity, further geared towards passengers and target audiences. The redesigned logo and the new aircraft livery reinforce the company’s core messages, which are quality, safety, travel comfort, and hospitality. Likewise, the design of the logomark is now brought closer to the design of the tail of the aircraft, which is what makes Croatia Airlines recognisable.
Participation in the Istanbul Airshow is another significant event in the year in which Croatia Airlines is celebrating its 35th anniversary and 20 years of membership in Star Alliance.
