Croatia Airlines welcomes fourth new Airbus A220 aircraft in Zagreb
Zagreb, 25 June 2025
Croatia Airlines, Croatia’s flag carrier and a member of Star Alliance, today welcomed its fourth new Airbus A220 aircraft, whose seating capacity is 149 passengers, at Zagreb Airport. This marks the continuation of the company’s biggest-ever project – the complete renewal of its fleet – which began last year with the introduction of the first two Airbus A220 aircraft.
Registered as 9A-CAM, and named Rijeka, the fourth new Airbus A220 arrived directly from the Airbus facility in Mirabel, Canada. Croatia’s flag carrier now operates four new Airbus A220 aircraft, each with 149 seats.
A total of five new A220 aircraft are expected to be delivered this year, while the fleet renewal project is scheduled for completion in 2027. By then, the airline’s fleet is expected to include 15 new Airbus A220 aircraft – 13 of the A220-300 type and two A220-100 aircraft.
