Croatia Airlines today welcomed its sixth new Airbus A220-300 in Zagreb, with a seating capacity of 149 passengers. The latest aircraft, bearing the registration 9A-CAP, has been named Zadar. Like all the other new aircraft introduced since last year as part of the fleet renewal project, it arrived directly from the Airbus plant in Mirabel, Canada.
During this year’s tourist season, Croatia’s flag carrier now operates six new Airbus A220-300s, bringing its total fleet to 16 aircraft. In addition to the new A220s, the fleet currently consists of four Airbus A319s, two Airbus A320s, and four Dash 8-Q400s.
By the end of this year, the delivery of another new aircraft is expected – the first A220-100, with a seating capacity of 127 passengers.
The complete fleet renewal project is scheduled for completion in 2027, at which time Croatia Airlines’ fleet will consist of a total of 15 new Airbus A220s – thirteen A220-300s, and two A220-100s.
