Fly with Croatia Airlines: Zagreb–Stockholm now available year-round
14 October 2025, Stockholm/Zagreb
Croatia Airlines, the Croatian National Tourist Board, and the Zagreb Tourist Board today officially presented the new year-round Zagreb–Stockholm route in the Swedish capital.
Previously operated as a seasonal service, the route has now been extended – thanks to strong passenger demand and the strategic importance of connecting the Croatian and Swedish capitals – and will remain available until 9 January 2026, with three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Return tickets are available on www.croatiaairlines.com from as little as EUR 149.
As noted at the presentation by Marija Pavić, Head of Sales at Croatia Airlines, the Zagreb–Stockholm route was launched in the 2024 summer flight timetable and continued throughout this year’s tourist season. From now on, passengers will also have this route available during the winter period.
– By extending the Zagreb–Stockholm service into the winter flight timetable, we are meeting passenger expectations while at the same time strengthening our network of destinations. Operating these flights in winter further improves mobility for both business and leisure travellers, and reinforces the connection between Sweden and Croatia. We’re also pleased that this extension enhances Zagreb’s tourism offerings, and improves the city’s overall connectivity with the world. An added advantage is that passengers will have the opportunity to enjoy a first-class flying experience onboard our new Airbus A220 aircraft, which are part of our fleet renewal programme – said Pavić.
She added that this winter Croatia Airlines is introducing more concrete network improvements, including extending several other seasonal routes, and increasing both the number of flights and available seats compared with last winter. In addition to Stockholm, direct international flights from Zagreb to Berlin and Barcelona are also being extended. Nearly 10,000 flights are planned in the winter flight timetable, offering around 1,184,000 seats, or 7.7% more flights and 21% more seats compared with the same period last year.
During this winter season, Croatia Airlines will connect Zagreb with 16 international destinations: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Vienna, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London (Heathrow), Mostar, Munich, Paris, Rome (via Split/Dubrovnik), Sarajevo, Skopje, Stockholm, and Zurich.
Martina Bienenfeld, CEO at the Zagreb Tourist Board, commented:
– The introduction of a year-round Zagreb–Stockholm service is excellent news for Zagreb’s tourism and business sectors. This air connection further strengthens the position of Croatia’s capital as an attractive city-break and business destination, while making it easier for Swedish visitors to reach Zagreb at any time of year. We are particularly pleased that this creates additional momentum for the exchange of ideas, projects, and visitors between Zagreb and Stockholm, while also opening the door to an even stronger presence of Zagreb on the Scandinavian market.
Today’s presentation in Stockholm further highlighted the importance of this air link for tourism and economic development, and once again reaffirmed Croatia Airlines’ role as a key promoter of Croatia on the international market.
