Part 145
In 2001 Croatia Airlines obtained Maintenance Organisation Approval in accordance with JAR145. With the establishment of a unified civil aviation authority of European Union (EASA - European Aviation Safety Agency), common standard for aircraft maintenance organisation approval has been adopted, thus in 2004 respective approval has been changed to EASA Part 145.
In order to confirm adherence to EASA Part 145 requirements, annual audits has been performed by LBA (Lufthansa Bundesamt) experts on behalf of EASA. Simultaneously, Croatia Airlines has been maintaining the validity of equivalent Part 145 certificate issued by the Civil Aviation Authority at the Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development and today this certificate is being issued by the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency (CCAA).
As Croatia joined EU in July 2013, EASA Part 145 applicable to non-EU members has been superseded by Croatian approval HR.145.001 which became acknowledged and valid in EU.
